Bread and Tulips (“Pane e tulipani”) is a romance comedy. Rosalba Barletta (Licia Maglietta) , a housewife, on a family vacation, left behind at a rest stop. Instead of waiting for her husband to come back for her, she starts hitchhikes home, but detours to Venice where she stays, ambivalent about returning to her family. As she adjusts to her new surroundings and makes friends, her life changes.
