Your barefoot beach-chic look this summer starts with Denim, denim, denim! Starting this spring and carrying into summer, denim will be at the core of many of this year’s hottest looks. Denim coveralls, jackets, cutoff shorts, and jumpers should be a staple in your closet. If you are heading out for a sunset cocktail, make sure you stand out in a crowd with a boho-inspired printed dress or short skirt. The shape this season will be high waisted skirts and flirty or long and free-flowing dresses. Ruffle accents will appear on many styles from twin sets to 60’s inspired tops and dresses.
Aside from various shapes and gold printed accents, this year’s hottest print trend will be animal-inspired, with Cheetah leading the pack. If a whole Cheetah dress is too bold, make sure you are on the trend by using animal accents on your accessories from belts to bags. But don’t let the return of the animal print allow you miss the other hot trend, as the gold lurex fabrics will be shining bright this season mixed with colored jacquard stripes and beach block Indian inspired prints. “The” colors this season will see the return of sun-faded palettes of soft sage greens and many shades of yellow with bold reds, blues and the return of rust coming in high summer (of course rainbows can never be wrong!). To round out your closet be sure to look for white eyelet and lace, bold stripes and some creative ginghams. Finally, make sure your look stays fresh with new white sneakers and a hoop earring to finish in barefoot Lux style.
